Finally, it’s time for our 1950 schedule reveal. We’ll be doubling our amount of races to 20, and will be giving out a grand total of $107,275, up from $41,330 this season. No tracks will be removed from the schedule. Coming aboard will be 10 new ones. The first nine of them are Five Flags Speedway, Volusia Speedway Park, Augusta International Speedway, Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Texas, Air Base Speedway, Williams Grove Speedway, Oswego Speedway, DuQuoin State Fairgrounds, and Illinois State Fairgrounds.
Our tenth and final new track will be Darlington Raceway. This 1.367 mile egg shaped oval will be the very first superspeedway race in this history of FNS, and the very first 500 mile race. It will have a $25,000 purse, meaning $10,000 will go to the winner – roughly what Bill Blair and Bob Flock earned this season, combined.
